What we believe in

DOCTRINAL STATEMENT OF THE CHURCH
COMUNIDAD CRISTIANA DE FE

1. THE TRINITY

We believe that there is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are never identical in person, nor confused in relationship or Deity, nor divided, nor opposed in collaboration.

  • FATHER

We believe that God the Father is eternal, omniscient, omnipotent. God is absolutely holy, righteous and just. His love and mercy were manifested in the expiatory death of His only Son Jesus Christ on Calvary.

  • SON

We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ as the second person of the Trinity, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious sufferings, His atoning death by His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His bodily return in power and glory.

  • HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and justice. He is the supernatural agent of God in the regeneration of the lost. He dwells within all believers, sealing them into the Body of Christ until the day of redemption. He is the divine teacher who guides believers into all truth and imparts as He wills the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as found in the first epistle to the Corinthians, chapter 12.

2. THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

We believe that both the Old Testament and the New Testament are inspired by God, infallible in their original writings and are the supreme and final authority of the faith.

3. MAN

We believe that man was originally created in the image and likeness of God, but that the whole human race was separated from God by sin. Therefore, we believe that no man can reconcile himself to God and gain entrance into His Kingdom. Only until he has been born again by the Holy Spirit will there be reconciliation with God unto eternal life.

4. SATAN

We believe that Satan is the author of sin. We believe that Christ judged him, defeated him on the cross and that he will be eternally punished.

5. SALVATION

We believe that salvation is a gift of God received by grace alone, and not by the works of man, which is obtained through repentance and personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that this faith is manifested in conduct and words, in obedience to the precepts of God.

6. HEAVEN

We believe that heaven is the hope and eternal home of all who have believed in Jesus Christ and have been saved in Him (Revelation 21:1-7).

7. THE CHURCH

We believe that the Body of Christ is composed of all believers who have been born again by the Spirit of God throughout the world, without exception of race or denomination. We believe that the local church includes born-again believers who gather to worship the Lord and to receive instruction for Christian service.

8. THE BODY OF CHRIST

Accordingly, we work with all denominations of the Church of Christ inspired by love among brethren in Jesus Christ and unity in the Spirit. As Christians we reject the “false prophets” whose teachings are contrary to this doctrinal statement, denying the divinity of Jesus Christ.

9. THE SECOND COMING

We believe in the physical second coming of Jesus Christ in His glorious body to establish His kingdom on earth.

10. ORDINANCES

  • WATER BAPTISM

We believe that water baptism is to be by immersion in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and that it is to be administered only to those who have given evidence of being born again by the Spirit of God.

  • THE HOLY SUPPER

The Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ and is to be practiced “until He comes again”.

Should be observed by all believers, who should examine themselves before partaking. 1 Corinthians 11:27-30 says that Christians who live in sin but take the supper publicly with the church will suffer sickness, infirmity and even die before the Lord’s perfect time.

11. BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a definitive experience after His work of salvation. When one is “born of the Spirit” it is for salvation and there is an impartation of new life, different from the “baptism of the Spirit” that gives power for the new life in Jesus Christ, with the manifestation of speaking in tongues and the gifts of the Spirit.

12. DIVINE HEALING

We believe that Christ made provision for physical healing and deliverance in His atoning work. To pray for the sick and oppressed is a command to be obeyed by the Lord’s Church.

13. HOLINESS

We believe that the Bible teaches a life of holiness “without which no man shall see the Lord”. Sanctification is God’s will for every believer and should be sought with sincerity, walking in obedience to the Lord. The fruit that we read in Galatians 5:22-23 is the true evidence of the Christian’s constant submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

14. THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD

We believe that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead by the power of God, and likewise all men will be raised, some to eternal life. Those who in life refused the lordship of Jesus Christ will rise again to be condemned in the final and eternal judgment.

15. DIVINITY OF JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity and is man, who never sinned. In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead, for He is God and not just a prophet or teacher who taught a new philosophy or religion.

16. ETERNAL JUDGMENT

We believe that God has established a day in which He will judge men with justice through Jesus Christ and that each one will give account of his good or bad deeds.

17. MARRIAGE

We believe in the institution of marriage as stated in Genesis 2:24 “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh”. It shall be administered by an ordained minister, according to doctrinal principles, and fulfilling the precepts of law.

18. THE MINISTRIES

We believe that Jesus Christ appointed some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the purpose of perfecting the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11).
